ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Drivers on the north side of St. Joseph should prepare for another road closure beginning Monday as city crews complete ditch repairs along County Line Road.

The City of St. Joseph says County Line Road will close between U.S. Highway 59 and North 23rd Terrace beginning Monday, Aug. 31.

The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, Sept. 11, weather permitting.

There will be one break in the closure. The city plans to temporarily reopen the roadway during Labor Day weekend from Sept. 4 through Sept. 6 before closing it again to finish the work.

Westbound traffic will be directed south on North 23rd Terrace to Shamrock Lane and then Savannah Road.

Eastbound drivers will be directed north and east on U.S. 59 Highway to U.S. 71 Highway before heading south on U.S. 71.

Motorists who regularly travel County Line Road should allow additional time and expect increased traffic on the surrounding detour routes while repairs are underway.
