Family Searching for Missing 17-Year-Old Believed to Be in the St. Joseph or Savannah Area
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — A family from the Savannah area is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 17-year-old who they believe may now be in St. Joseph or another nearby community.
According to a public Facebook post from his father, Hayden Piper has been missing for about a week after running away during a medical transport following a stay at a mental health facility.

After spending about a week there, Hayden was reportedly being transported when the vehicle stopped at a Casey's convenience store so he could use the restroom. At that point, he ran away.
The family says Hayden could now be in St. Joseph, Savannah, Oregon, Missouri, or the surrounding area, and they are asking anyone who sees him to contact law enforcement immediately.
His father said Hayden is in need of mental health care and is hoping the community can help bring him home safely.
