St. Joseph Police to Appear on National TV Series ‘Police 24/7’

St. Joseph police officers will soon have television cameras riding along with them as part of a nationally televised law enforcement series.

The St. Joseph Police Department announced Monday that it will work with “Police 24/7,” a television series airing on The CW.

Residents may begin noticing production crews accompanying officers around St. Joseph in the coming weeks. The crews will film alongside SJPD officers as they respond to calls for service and handle their normal day-to-day duties.

The partnership will give viewers across the country a firsthand look at policing in St. Joseph while also putting the city and its community in the national spotlight.

SJPD emphasized that the presence of television crews won’t change how officers respond to calls or provide police services. Production crews also won’t enter private homes or businesses without the appropriate consent.

Police Chief Paul Luster said the department views the opportunity as a way to highlight the work officers perform every day while giving viewers a closer look at the community they serve.

The department said it looks forward to representing St. Joseph and showcasing the city to a national audience.

“Police 24/7” airs on The CW and follows law enforcement officers as they respond to real-world calls and incidents.
