Carl Arnold July 31, 1933-May 5, 2026
Carl J. Arnold, 92, formerly of Wathena, Kansas passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Care Network of Platte City.
Carl was born on July 31, 1933, in Parnell, Missouri to Vea Allen and Izola (Rauch) Arnold.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wathena, Kansas. Carl served in the U.S. Army, and a member of the American Legion Post #161. He worked as a U.S. Postal Inspector.
Carl loved spending time with his grandchildren, collecting ash trays and growing his tomatoes.
Carl married Joan Israel on January 30, 1956, in Blair, Kansas and they recently shared their 70th wedding anniversary. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Additional survivors, daughter, Shelda Conrad; Son, Jay Arnold (Cheryl); Grandchildren, Brandon and Troy (Shannon) Conrad; Great-grandchildren, Evan, Carter, Reid and Levi Conrad; Sister, Sandra Gilpatrick; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl donated his body to science; a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials: Wathena EMS or Eleanor’s Food Pantry.
