Central Senior Emery Omon Commits to Lindenwood University for Track and Field
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Central High School senior Emery Omon has found her college home after a championship junior season in the shot put.

Omon announced last month that she has committed to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where she will continue her track and field career at the NCAA Division I level.
Omon captured the Class 3 state championship in the shot put last May while competing for Lafayette High School.
Her winning throw measured 12.17 meters, or 39 feet, 11¼ inches.
Now a senior at Central, Omon remains a multi-sport athlete. In addition to track and field, she competes in volleyball and basketball.
Her commitment to Lindenwood gives Omon the opportunity to continue competing at the highest level of NCAA athletics while remaining in Missouri.
Lindenwood competes as an NCAA Division I program and is located in St. Charles, just outside the St. Louis area.
Omon will finish her senior year at Central before beginning her collegiate track and field career with the Lions.
