After wrapping up the week with a few lingering showers Friday morning, northwest Missouri is heading into a stretch of comfortable summer weather. Sunshine, lower humidity, and mild temperatures will make this one of the best weekends we've seen in several weeks.
Saturday is expected to be the coolest day of the forecast, with highs in the mid-80s and plenty of sunshine—perfect for Chiefs Training Camp, community events, and spending time outdoors. Pleasant conditions will continue through Sunday and into the beginning of next week as temperatures gradually warm back into the upper 80s.
By the middle of next week, another chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms returns before sunshine and warm temperatures take over once again. While a few rain chances remain in the forecast, no prolonged periods of severe weather are expected at this time.
Overall, it's shaping up to be an excellent weekend across St. Joseph, with comfortable temperatures, lower humidity, and plenty of opportunities to get outside before the summer heat begins to build again.
