Erika Kirk Visits St. Joseph Christian School, Speaks to Hundreds of Students

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Erika Kirk, CEO and chair of Turning Point USA, recently visited St. Joseph Christian School as part of a Club America tour stop that drew approximately 300 students.

The visit took place at St. Joseph Christian School, a private Christian school located at 5401 Gene Field Road in St. Joseph.

Emma Danahy, a Turning Point USA high school field representative for Kansas and the Kansas City area, praised the school's Club America chapter following the event, saying students had helped organize the tour stop and that about 300 students attended.

Turning Point USA's official student account also highlighted the appearance, describing it as a stop on the organization's Club America: The Event tour and saying Kirk spoke to more than 300 students at a high school in the Kansas City, Missouri, area.

Kirk now serves as CEO and chair of Turning Point USA following the September 2025 assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, who founded the conservative youth organization.

Turning Point USA currently lists Erika Kirk as its CEO and board chair and says she was appointed to lead the organization following her husband's death.

Her St. Joseph appearance comes as the organization continues expanding its presence among high school and college students across the country.

Turning Point USA announced a new nationwide fall college tour in August featuring Kirk and several other conservative speakers.

The St. Joseph event, however, was connected to the organization's growing Club America high school program.

What is Club America?

Club America is Turning Point USA's program for high school students.

According to the organization, Club America chapters focus on civic engagement, student leadership, constitutional rights, free markets and limited government. Students can organize activities, participate in political discussions and bring speakers to their schools with assistance from Turning Point USA staff.

The organization says chapters are student-led and can work with Turning Point field representatives to organize events and request speakers through its speakers bureau.

The St. Joseph Christian School chapter appears to be part of that expanding high school network.

Danahy specifically credited the school's Club America students with planning Kirk's appearance, calling the turnout a success.

More than just another tour stop

The St. Joseph appearance comes at a significant time for both Kirk and Turning Point USA.

This month marks approximately one year since Charlie Kirk was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025.

Since assuming leadership, Erika Kirk has continued appearing at Turning Point events and encouraging students to remain involved in campus activism. In August, she publicly urged conservative and Christian students returning to school to continue participating in political and cultural discussions on their campuses.

That makes a stop in St. Joseph — particularly one involving hundreds of local students — notable beyond the walls of the school itself.

It also demonstrates that national political organizations aren't just focusing their efforts on major universities or large metropolitan areas.

They're organizing in communities like St. Joseph as well.

And in this case, students here helped bring one of the organization's most prominent national figures directly to their school.

A growing student political presence

Regardless of someone's personal political views, the appearance offers another example of younger Americans becoming involved in political and civic organizations at an increasingly early age.

Club America's own materials encourage students to organize chapters, discuss public policy, register eligible students to vote and participate in grassroots activism.

St. Joseph Christian School serves students from pre-K through 12th grade and describes itself as a private, non-denominational Christian school serving Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.

With roughly 300 students reportedly attending Kirk's appearance, the St. Joseph stop represented a substantial audience for the organization and gave local students an opportunity to hear directly from the woman now leading one of the country's most influential conservative youth organizations.

For Turning Point USA, it was one stop on a much larger effort.

For St. Joseph, it was a national political figure making a relatively rare appearance right here in the community.
