Woman Seriously Injured in Museum Hill Apartments Stabbing; One Arrested

A woman suffered serious injuries and one person was arrested following a stabbing Sunday evening at Museum Hill Apartments in St. Joseph.

St. Joseph police responded around 6:20 p.m. to the apartment complex at 1214 Angelique St. after receiving a report of a stabbing.

According to the St. Joseph Police Department, the victim, an adult woman, was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.

The woman later told KQ2 News that her injuries were life-threatening. Residents in the area reported seeing what appeared to be multiple stab wounds around her neck and face.

Police confirmed that one individual was arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities have not released the identity of the person arrested or provided information about possible charges.

SJPD said investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation, and police said no additional information is being released at this time.
